Santa at Sub Zero.

For Pre-School Jeanne has Santa come so the children can tell him what they want for Christmas. This year we did something a little different and went to a new ice cream shop called Sub Zero. They freeze the ice cream right in front of you. After all the kids had there fill of ice cream Santa came. They all had so much fun and Elise got to tell Santa that she wanted a Pink baby.
Freezing the Ice Cream.

Elise's cousin and best friend (most of the time) Ryker (he's so cute!). Waiting for there Ice Cream.

Give me Ice Cream, Please!

Becka's still not so into the big red man. He's the best Santa thought. That is a real beard. He starts growing it in June to have it long enough.

My Little Snow Angel!

Elise and I had a very fun day in the snow. Elise made snow angels and I pulled her up and down the street on a sled. She has been wanting to get out and play since it snowed and we haven't had the time. It was a beautiful day and it was so nice to get out. I must say I'm enjoying the snow so much because I was worried that we would not have any for Christmas. Knock on wood, We still have a week, it could melt. Becka missed out because she was taking a nap. I really want to take Elise sledding on the next nice day!

Girls Weekend In Salt Lake City!

My friend Jody and I went down to Salt Lake last Saturday and Sunday to have a girls get getaway. We met up with Nicole and went to Twilight and out shopping. We all had such a blast!! In the picture we are holding up how many times we have been to the movie Twilight. If you can't tell Nicole is two, Jody is three, and I'm FOUR. I win! We can't wait for the next one to come out and we have already decided that Nicole is going to come to Idaho Falls and we are going to watch the first one right before we go to the next movie. This weekend was so much fun just to talk twilight with Nicole, and I think she liked it also because I don't think Randon really loves talking about Twilight. =) He,he. On Saturday when I saw Nicole I don't think we went more than ten minutes before we started talking about it and Dad, Jordan, and Randon soon all went to the store to get away from the loud high pitched giggles and talking. I think I'm going to do a girls getaway more often!

I thought it would be fun to put up the girls Santa pitchers from over the years. I love how it took Elise a few years until she would sit on his lap without crying and now it's going to be the same for Becka.

This is from a few weeks ago at The Festival of Trees.
AHHHH! Scary Santa! Becka's not going to be getting much from him this year!

2005. This is of Elise when she was about 7 months old at her first Festival of Trees.

I guess I didn't take any pictures of the girls with Santa in 2006.

2007. Elise and Becka at Grandma Thueson's house. Santa visits the pre-school every year before Christmas. Becka's first encounter with Santa. And this was the first time Elise sat on Santa's lap without crying!

Babysitting Baby Linden

Not so Lil' man! His hands are bigger than Becka's!
Elise took this picture, she did good job but my heads a little cut off.

Little sleeping angel!

Elise really enjoyed holding Linden. She held him for a long time and didn't want to give him up.
Grandpa stopped by to get some loves in. Classic Dad picture! I got to watch Baby Linden on Tuesday while Angela went to the temple. We had so much fun holding him and he fell asleep in my arms. He is such a good baby! I just wish I got to watch him longer!

We got Tim Tams today at Target!!! We are going to give them to our neighbors for Christmas with a note of how to do Tim Tam Slams. And keep a few for our self too.

Our Little Carpet Instaler

We hired someone to come and put in our carpet downstairs. We didn't know if she would do a good job when she showed up in her pajamas, but she was a hard worker and she did a great job!

She put a lot of force behind that!

TIM TAM SLAM!

Behold the Tim Tams! Few know the power they hold!
Ok so they might not be THAT great but they are really, really good. Hears the scoop. Tim tams are an Australia chocolate cookie. You have to try one to really know what there like because if someone tries to explain what it is most think of a kit kat and it's no where close. So, It's not really the cookie that is amazing, it's what you can do with them. It's called a Tim Tam Slam. You need a mug of hot chocolate and Tim Tam. Bite off opposite corners of the Tim Tam and use it as a straw to drink the hot chocolate. This will only work for a second or so because the whole inside of the cookie will melt and that is when you shove the whole think in your mouth. The chocolate overload is amazing BUT my favorite is to get the Tim Tams with the Carmel in them. That way after all the chocolate has melted away in your mouth your left with a yummy lump of Carmel! YUM! Australian chocolate is made with a lot less wax then our good old chocolate here in the USA so it melts faster and that's what makes this sooooo good. But why am I telling you all of this? It's because Scott and I have made it a Christmas eve tradition to do Tim Tam Slams and in the past we have always gotten them from a restaurant called Aussie Eats in Idaho Fall, but they went out of business. So doing a little googling I found that to get them sent here is very EXPENSIVE! BUT, Pepperidge Farm has teemed up with the makers of Tim Tams to get them in to target stores from Nov.-March. Of course MY target does not have them, at least not yet. The only drawback I can see is that they are not the originals from Australia, they are made in the USA by Pepperidge Farm and I hope they have stuck to the original as much as possible. So if you are in a target store soon go on over to the cookies and get some Tim Tams. Even if you don't understand how to do a Tim Tam Slam try them anyway!

UPDATE ON THE LOST DOG

The cute puppy has found a great new home with some little boys that love him so much. We gave him to them on Sunday. The real owner did call yesterday and he didn't seem to really care about the puppy so I worked it out with him so that the other family could keep him. And they really need the puppy right now because there grandma that lives across the street from my in-laws is passing away of cancer and only has a few days left. Everything worked out perfect in the end, and I think even though Annie loved him, she was happy to get her bed back!

Elise had a girls night last Saturday night. We had pizza and ate gummy bears and popcorn while we watched two barbie movies. We also painted our nails. Elise painted her own and then she painted mine! Kenasyn and Morgan stayed the night and Elise had a blast!

Fun with a lost puppy.

I know I have not blogged in a long time. Our camera is having problems and I haven't had the time to figure it out. So the picture is of the cutest little puppy we are watching until we find it's owners. It looks so much like Annie, but it's a boy. He's been a really good dog for a puppy and Annie has been really great about sharing her bed and putting up with him. He was found Halloween night with a superman shirt on. We started calling him Clark (Clark Kent) but Elise keep forgetting it and asked if we named it dork. =)

Elise's First Official Day Of Preschool!

Elise had her first official day of preschool today! Really this is her third year since I've been teaching and bringing her with me. She didn't really know that today was any different than all the other times we've gone to preschool. I tried to explain that this is her class and that all the other kids are her age. The day was crazy but fun. I'm glad that I have the chance to give her an early learning experience that we wouldn't be able to give her otherwise. (preschool is expensive!) I'm excited to see what the year brings.

Becka's First Birthday

Becka's Birthday was last Saturday, the 30th. We had three small party's for her. First was at her Grandma Thueson's house. It was her first time to dig into a slice of chocolate cake. Then we had a party at our house with Great Grandma and Grandpa Ellis. Then at our Beckstead Family reunion we had cupcakes and root beer floats. I think it was more than any one year old could ask for.

The Twilight Saga!!!! READ THEM!

All I can say is READ IT, READ IT, READ IT! If you know nothing about twilight there are three other books that go after this one. (New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn). They are really good. But be careful because they will take over your life! I'm done with them all and I am going through withdraw! There is a movie that is coming out about the first book. They just moved the date up from Dec. 12 to NOV. 21st!!!! I can't wait! I've got my sister-in-law and my best friend hooked on the books also and we are surprised that something like this was out there that we didn't know about until now. If anyone knows of any more really good books that you think we would like let me know! If you want to check out the trailer for the movie go to www.thetwilightmovie.com or you can find it on youtube. If you want to find out what the book is about before you get it leave me a comment and I will tell you a little. Don't go on the web because there are things that could ruin it! READ IT!

Jill & Jared's Wedding

Scott's sister Jill got married on the 18th to Jared Huckstep from McCammon Idaho. They were married in the Idaho Falls Temple and the reception was at Scott's mom and Dad's house. They also had an open house in McCammon the following night. Jill was beautiful and the flower girls were so dang cute! In the picture above from left to right there's Jared's niece (can't remember her name), Elise's cousin Kenasyn, Becka in Jill's lap, Elise, Elise's cousin Emma, and Elise's cousin Morgan. Jared and Jill have moved to Pocatello for school and we are going to miss Jared staying with us when he's in town. We are so excited for them. It feels like almost yesterday we were where they are now.
