TIM TAM SLAM!

Behold the Tim Tams! Few know the power they hold!
Ok so they might not be THAT great but they are really, really good. Hears the scoop. Tim tams are an Australia chocolate cookie. You have to try one to really know what there like because if someone tries to explain what it is most think of a kit kat and it's no where close. So, It's not really the cookie that is amazing, it's what you can do with them. It's called a Tim Tam Slam. You need a mug of hot chocolate and Tim Tam. Bite off opposite corners of the Tim Tam and use it as a straw to drink the hot chocolate. This will only work for a second or so because the whole inside of the cookie will melt and that is when you shove the whole think in your mouth. The chocolate overload is amazing BUT my favorite is to get the Tim Tams with the Carmel in them. That way after all the chocolate has melted away in your mouth your left with a yummy lump of Carmel! YUM! Australian chocolate is made with a lot less wax then our good old chocolate here in the USA so it melts faster and that's what makes this sooooo good. But why am I telling you all of this? It's because Scott and I have made it a Christmas eve tradition to do Tim Tam Slams and in the past we have always gotten them from a restaurant called Aussie Eats in Idaho Fall, but they went out of business. So doing a little googling I found that to get them sent here is very EXPENSIVE! BUT, Pepperidge Farm has teemed up with the makers of Tim Tams to get them in to target stores from Nov.-March. Of course MY target does not have them, at least not yet. The only drawback I can see is that they are not the originals from Australia, they are made in the USA by Pepperidge Farm and I hope they have stuck to the original as much as possible. So if you are in a target store soon go on over to the cookies and get some Tim Tams. Even if you don't understand how to do a Tim Tam Slam try them anyway!

UPDATE ON THE LOST DOG

The cute puppy has found a great new home with some little boys that love him so much. We gave him to them on Sunday. The real owner did call yesterday and he didn't seem to really care about the puppy so I worked it out with him so that the other family could keep him. And they really need the puppy right now because there grandma that lives across the street from my in-laws is passing away of cancer and only has a few days left. Everything worked out perfect in the end, and I think even though Annie loved him, she was happy to get her bed back!

Elise's Girls Night

Elise had a girls night last Saturday night. We had pizza and ate gummy bears and popcorn while we watched two barbie movies. We also painted our nails. Elise painted her own and then she painted mine! Kenasyn and Morgan stayed the night and Elise had a blast!

Fun with a lost puppy.

I know I have not blogged in a long time. Our camera is having problems and I haven't had the time to figure it out. So the picture is of the cutest little puppy we are watching until we find it's owners. It looks so much like Annie, but it's a boy. He's been a really good dog for a puppy and Annie has been really great about sharing her bed and putting up with him. He was found Halloween night with a superman shirt on. We started calling him Clark (Clark Kent) but Elise keep forgetting it and asked if we named it dork. =)

Elise's First Official Day Of Preschool!

Elise had her first official day of preschool today! Really this is her third year since I've been teaching and bringing her with me. She didn't really know that today was any different than all the other times we've gone to preschool. I tried to explain that this is her class and that all the other kids are her age. The day was crazy but fun. I'm glad that I have the chance to give her an early learning experience that we wouldn't be able to give her otherwise. (preschool is expensive!) I'm excited to see what the year brings.

Becka's First Birthday

Becka's Birthday was last Saturday, the 30th. We had three small party's for her. First was at her Grandma Thueson's house. It was her first time to dig into a slice of chocolate cake. Then we had a party at our house with Great Grandma and Grandpa Ellis. Then at our Beckstead Family reunion we had cupcakes and root beer floats. I think it was more than any one year old could ask for.
